🔹 Meaning of Section 375 (Definition of Rape):
According to Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code, a man is said to commit rape if he has sexual intercourse with a woman under any of the following conditions —
- Against her will (jab woman mana kare aur phir bhi zabardasti ki jaaye)
- Without her consent (bina consent ke)
- With her consent obtained by fear or threat (dhamki ya dar se li gayi consent)
- With her consent obtained by impersonation (jab ladka kisi aur ke roop me dhokha dekar relation banaye)
- With or without her consent, when she is under 18 years of age
- When she is unable to give consent (jaise ki unconscious, intoxicated, mentally unstable ho)
🔹 In simple words — consent bina, ya dhokhe se li gayi consent ke saath physical relation banana rape kehlata hai.
🔹 Section 376 (Punishment for Rape):
This section defines the punishment for rape, depending on the nature and severity of the crime.
🔹Basic Punishment:
- Minimum: 10 years imprisonment
- Maximum: Life imprisonment
- Fine: Can also be added
🔹 Aggravated Punishment (Severe Cases):
- If the victim is under 16 years → Minimum 20 years to life
- If victim is under 12 years → Life imprisonment or death penalty under POCSO Act
- If rape is committed by police officer, doctor, teacher, government official, etc. → Severe punishment under Section 376(2)

Agar mahila “No” kehti hai, to “No” ka matlab “No” hi hota hai — koi justification nahi.
