Matrimonial scams are one of the channels used by fraudsters in making money. To carry out their scams, they fabricate profiles on matrimonial websites, dating apps or social media and pretend to be an NRI, army professional or a highly-educated, well-settled overseas NRI, employees of reputed companies.

Fraudster ke dwara shaadi ke liye fake profile banane, apne aap ko ek NRI, army officer, doctor ya businessman batane ke liye fake matrimonial scam hota hai. Dheere-dheere victim ke sath emotional bonding kar li jaati hai taki victim trust kar le. Jab trust ban jaata hai, tab paise maange jaate hain — kabhi emergency ke naam par, kabhi flight ticket ya visa process ke bahane. Bahut saare aarop hain ki personal photos ya chats ka misuse karke blackmail bhi kiya jaata hai.
